Saturday, October 28, 2 – 4 PM
We would like to invite all children from birth to sixth grade to our Trunk or Treat community event on Saturday, October 28. We recognize that in a rural community it can be challenging to find a safe place for children to trick or treat. We would like to stand in that gap and provide a ready made rural subdivision, if you will, in our back yard. Our desire is to have 20+ cars parked and ready to distribute candy to any trunk or treaters who come see us. We also have scheduled our event earlier in the afternoon so that those who want to can go to other Halloween events in the community after coming to see us. Vevay is having their annual Halloween Parade and Moorefield Volunteer Fire Department is having their Trunk or Treat from 7-9 PM at the firehouse. You will get more use for your children’s costume this way. Along with candy, we will provide a inflatable obstacle course (weather permitting) for the kids to take a break and expend some energy. We also hope that the local Moorefield Volunteer Fire Department will be able to bring a firetruck for the kids to look through. Last year over 120 children came and enjoyed this community event, so you do not want to be the only one of your friends who did not come see us.
We will have Trunk or Treat rain or shine, so plan to come even if it is raining.
